Two New Routes into the Sun. Kaunas - Rhosdes, Kos
Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, announced today that it will operate two new routes from Kaunas airport as of the upcoming summer schedule which resumes in March’11. To offer its Lithuanian passengers even more choice of destinations during the summer months, the Irish airline added the popular Aegean Islands Rhodes as well as Kos, the Greek island in the south Sporades group of the Dodecanese to the 2011 summer schedule from/to Kaunas. Starting on the 12th of April 2011, Ryanair will operate the route to Rhodes two times per week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays whereas the inaugural flight to Kos will start on the 16th of April 2011 with two weekly flights on Mondays and Saturdays.
Both destinations are perfect for a short break early in the year or an extensive summer holiday with the family. Rhodes is famous as an island of sun, sea and sand, the ideal place for vacation. It’s called island of the sun with sandy beaches, it is perfect for rest and relaxation and also offers a lot to visitors interested in nature and culture. Historically, Rhodes was famous worldwide for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
