MRO base for Kaunas Airport
JSC Aurela Group has been announced the winner of the auction for long term land lease for construction and operations of aircraft MRO base at Kaunas Airport.
Working closely with international partners the company will lease a 16.000 sq meters land plot for 40 years and will construct a hangar facility of more than 9.000 sq meters, with all technical possibilities and equipment for servicing aircraft of up to Boeing 747 size. The investment into this project will be over Euro 9 ml. Over 100 new qualified work places will be created for the region.
Having announced the winner of the auction, General Manager of Kaunas Airport Arijandas Sliupas spoke: “I am very glad that this development project is actually brought to life. We began working on it in the begging of 2008. Together with the new partner – Aurela Group we will work to increase the competitive ability of the Airport”.
