Two new routes from Kaunas – the beautiful Cyprus and Malta

Two new routes will join the summer season route network from Kaunas Airport. Starting on the 3rd of May 2012, Ryanair will operate the route to Malta two times per week, on Thursdays and Sundays whereas the inaugural flight to Pafos in Cyprus will start on the 2nd of May 2012 with one weekly flight on Wednesdays. Overall the 22 Ryanair destinations to Europe will be included into the upcoming Kaunas Airport summer schedule which resumes in the end March of 2012.

The summer season route network also includes flights to Dublin, London (Stansted, Gatwick, Luton), Liverpool, Frankfurt Hahn, Birmingham, Brussels, Bristol, Oslo, Tampere, Edinburgh, Alicante, Rhodes, Kos, Stockholm, Leeds Bradford, Eindhoven, Gothenburg and Palma de Mallorca.

From March, 2012 Kaunas Airport will be directly connected with 24 Europe cities. In 2011 Kaunas Airport passenger number increased by 7,77%, more that 872 thousand passengers used Kaunas Airport.  With the increasing route network from Kaunas Airport catchment area also increased – at the moment Kaunas Airport is used by Lithuanians, Latvians, Byelorussians, Kaliningrad and north Poland citizens.
