The cheapest fares at

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (9th Feb) announced yet again a new route from/to Kaunas airport, this time to Stockholm (Skavsta), one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe. This means even more cheap fares to Scandinavia have arrived and are available within less than 1 hour from Vilnius Airport and less than one week after the previous announcements of two Greeks destinations, Kos and Rhodos.

Ryanair’s annual traffic at Kaunas Airport will grow to over one million passengers, sustaining more than 1,000 local jobs within the tourism industry. Through this new Scandinavian route thousands of international visitors are expected to be arriving with Ryanair in Kaunas, considering that the current Nordic routes to Gothenburg, Tampere and Oslo Rygge provide for the highest number of incoming visitors. This will contribute significantly to the growth of tourism in Lithuania. The new Ryanair route will operate thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays as of the 14th of April 2011.

The Irish airline’s passengers can now discover the stunning beauty of Stockholm which is built on 14 islands connected by 57 bridges. The beautiful buildings, the greenery, the fresh air and the proximity to the water are distinctive traits of its called Venice of the North. With its 750 year history and rich cultural life, Stockholm offers a wide selection of world class museums and attraction for everyone.
To celebrate its 22 low fares Kaunas routes in 2011 Ryanair released one million 21 LTL seats for travel across 500 European routes in March.
